Using a series of Lean transformation techniques and by mapping process and logistic flow in detail, they managed to create 30% more floor capacity in an extraordinarily short time to get things started. This newly created space was then filled with a state-of-the-art 1000ton+ machine to immediately expand their capability and scale.
The next step saw them and their teams work to consolidate material suppliers to ensure the best value could be had and subsequently passed on to their respective customers; share and expand their improved technology to deliver tracking of orders, and unleash CAD in ever more inventive ways. Then they moved around excess capacity between the companies to truly utilize the very best of what they can offer to as many customers as possible.
