𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀? 𝗡𝗼, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
We’ve all read the endless ‘great management’ quotes, and seen the unstoppable memes of ‘leaders’ with snakes in caves and rocks on their backs. But let’s be honest, those things don’t happen in real life, and frankly, they don’t do a good job of depicting how modern executives operate.
A real-life exceptional leader is at their best when people barely know he exists.
When you run a business, the focus of anyone on the management team should always be to build a preeminent team who are well trained, well-motivated, and knowledgeable about their role and that of the business ethos.

The manufacturing world, or indeed that of any factory environment, is certainly not well known for its commitment to staff and their longevity or growth within an organization, but that’s where these two companies truly turn things on their head.

Another supreme quality of leadership is not brandishing orders, but unquestionably is having integrity. Though even that is a bit of a fallacy, as looking at their organigram, both companies run more of a pancake than traditional stack organization!
Setting a world-class standard in the injectionmolding world requires fantastic leadership, but as the old adage goes, a leader is only as good as his team. So, let’s scrap the images of walking into battle or waving a stick at unruly employees, and start to recognize those leaders who offer something a bit different and who are marching management into the modern world.
